WHAT A WEEK THIS HAS BEEN!

While our team of volunteers has been actively collecting tornado relief supplies at our local Sam’s Club, Gleaning’s staff members have been busy answering calls and talking with folks who’ve dropped off donations at our office; and our warehouse crew has been working hard to sort and pack the donated supplies, to get them ready for the first truck headed to the Heartland.

Behind the scenes, our disaster relief coordinator, Roy St. John has been on the road, making another trip down south, delivering supplies to our partners in Louisiana where Hurricane Ida cleanup efforts are ongoing (and will be for months and years to come).

It’s important that we keep our commitment to our partners, whether that’s long-term disaster relief, our work with national partners like those in southern Texas, who provide education, encouragement, and care for the poorest of the poor in our nation, or sending containers to our overseas partners – in spite of challenging shipping obstacles!

Remember, when you give to Gleaning, you’re a helper. You’re helping an individual, a couple, or a family who is facing very difficult circumstances whether that’s here at home or around the world.

As we come to the end of the year, would you consider giving a special gift to Gleaning For The World, which will be used to help those in need in the weeks and months to come?

All donations to Gleaning For The World are tax deductible. Click here to give online, or please consider mailing your donation to GFTW PO Box 645 Concord, VA 24538.
