A Faith That Keeps Giving
Since 1998, this mission has been sustained by people who, even during their own difficult seasons, chose to extend a hand to someone else.

As Christians, our hope is not wishful thinking. It is grounded in truth. God raised Jesus from the dead. This is not a metaphor, not a wish, not a nice ending to a hard story. It is a fact (1 Corinthians 15:3–4).

On Saturday, June 6, 2026, Gleaning For The World will host our inaugural Gleaning Duck Pluck, a fun, family-friendly event designed to support our Helping Our Neighbors program here in Central Virginia.

What began as a 40k lbs. donation has grown into an ongoing effort that has already collected more than 105,000 pounds of Bibles and Christian materials.

Recently, Dr. Yaw came to us with a special request. His sister was asking for help securing an infant incubator for a rural hospital.

Together we have shipped a total of 708,150 stuffed animals since the program began 27 years ago. Donations reached 36 countries, 23 states, and Washington DC.

Altogether, 12 pallets of donated supplies valued at more than $3,000 were distributed during this Christmas season.

During the Christmas season, we work alongside churches, schools, and community organizations to distribute toys, games, and stuffed animals to hundreds of children.

Each year, our Veterans Day collection helps supply in-patient and out-patient programs with items that bring comfort, dignity, and the reassurance that their service has not been forgotten.

Our team brings emergency supplies when the nation is watching, and our volunteers and partners act with urgency to meet immediate needs. But the work does not end there.
