I recently heard this phrase in a commercial, and it prompted me to think about the many ways we can do good. We can accomplish good things as a result of sharing our time, our prayers, our financial resources, our professional experience…the list is endless!

As a Christian, I am encouraged to do good as an expression of the values outlined in the Bible. I especially like the verse 1 Timothy 6:18, which says, “They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share.”

I believe what makes ‘good’ even better (and immediately rewarding), is whe we join together with others, combine our resources and work collectively towards a meaningful and united goal.

The ‘good’ we are able to create through Gleaning is multiplied considerably because of our partnership together. Your prayers, your financial support, your words of encouragement, your creativity – it all adds up!
