Together we have shipped a total of 708,150 stuffed animals since the program began 27 years ago. Donations reached 36 countries, 23 states, and Washington DC. Every shipment represents comfort in a hard moment and a reminder that a child is not alone.

Where The Bears Go

In the United States, first responders, hospitals, social service partners, schools, and family support teams request small and medium animals for children who are facing emergencies, illness, displacement, or loss. Overseas, partners ask for animals to support disaster response, orphan care, and classroom encouragement. The settings vary, but the purpose is the same. A soft friend calms fear and carries hope.

How To Help This Year

We welcome new and gently loved stuffed animals that are small to medium in size. Please send clean items only. If you would like to include a short message, we will keep it with your gift whenever possible and share excerpts online without names to protect privacy. You can also support shipping and sorting through a financial gift or by volunteering at our warehouse. If you have a story about a donation or a child who received a bear, we would love to hear from you. Your story may encourage the next donor to give.
