DO YOU CONSIDER YOURSELF A GOAL SETTER?
At Gleaning, our team believes that setting and tracking goals plays an important part in reaching goals. We believe this also helps us do our very best to accomplish them.
Sometimes, we surpass our goal with flying colors; other times, we do not fare so well… but our efforts are always one hundred percent …and even when we don’t fully reach a goal – people are served and God’s love is shared in the process! And that’s what it’s all about, really.
Last week, I mentioned Proverbs 29:18, which says, “where there is no vision, the people perish…”
It’s true in business, it’s true at church, and it’s true in the nonprofit world! For us, each January is filled with goal setting activities – staff discussions around our strengths and weaknesses, evaluating our team’s past performance, identifying areas for improvement – all for the purpose of setting and successfully reaching our goals in the new year.
This January is no different! We’ve been working hard to determine how Gleaning can grow in 2020!
In 2019, we delivered $11,866,607 worth of supplies to God’s children who were hurting, desperate, and in need. That’s nearly 12 million dollars! How cool is that!?
This year, we want to reach more: More cities; more nonprofit organizations; more people… and more hearts!
If you haven’t already prayed about it, will you ask God if He wants you to set a goal to become a Gleaning monthly partner? On our donation page, you can give by card or e-check (which saves credit card fees for non-profits!) You can also set up an automatic recurring donation on the date you choose each month.
We have an exciting year ahead!
In service and partnership,
