In the aftermath of the devastating EF3 tornado that struck Amory, Mississippi on March 24, 2023, Gleaning joined forces with local non-profit Monroe Strong to provide assistance to families in need.
Roots are important. Foundation is important. And staying true to the God-inspired reason for our existence is crucial.
As we remember Betty on this special day, Gleaning For The World’s Pet Program stands as a beacon of hope for animals in need. Our program plays a crucial role in aiding animals during times of disaster and provides ongoing support to communities across Virginia.
Here in our own country we face increased anxiety – concerns over the economy, political matters, school challenges, senseless violence and so much more. The world seems so fragile.
In keeping with our mission to show the love of God at home and around the world, we feel strongly that we must do all that we can for our Veterans. We want to give the public an opportunity to serve those who have served our country well.
It took us more than a year to turn the truck of soap scrap into 11,136 soap kits. Eleven
thousand, one hundred thirty-six kits! Our volunteers logged an impressive 1,629 hours to help make the kits.
We have teamed up with a local partner in Amory to help 26 families, comprised of 63 men, women, and children, who are most in need. These families were displaced from their homes, losing everything they held dear.
We are thrilled to announce that the CMVA’s efforts resulted in the collection of more than 1,100 stuffed animals during the month of September!
This year, the Share-A-Bear-A-Thon will take place on Friday, September 22 from 5pm to 8pm in the parking lot of Mister Goodies on Timberlake Road.
