Spreading God’s Word Around The World

Gleaning For The World was faced with a dilemma that resonated deeply with our mission: a large donation of Bibles totaling 40,000 pounds from a local book wholesaler. It was clear that these Bibles held great value and potential for spreading hope and faith.

As an organization committed to humanitarian aid and spiritual nourishment, we couldn’t ignore the significance of this donation. It became evident that while there was a significant need for Bibles and Christian literature overseas, there was also a heartbreaking trend of waste for these items within our country.

So, as we began networking to find the right place to utilize these Bibles, we developed a new relationship – a new partner – that would allow us to place Bibles in the hands of international pastors, Sunday School teachers, and missionaries overseas in desperate need of Christian literature for their churches, communities, and Christian outreach ministries in schools, prisons, and hospitals. Incredible! As our new partner said, “Please don’t throw the Bibles away – it’s my number one request and I never get enough of them!”

God Is Good!

Another new partner requested thousands of Bibles for the country of Ghana. And, we were able to process them in our warehouse and will ship them this month!

Our Bible story is just beginning! It has become abundantly clear to us that there are more Bibles to be “gleaned” and therefore saved from landfills and placed into the hands of those that need and want to read and share the Word of God. What a wonderful opportunity we have – to glean Bibles and play a part in spreading God’s precious word!

We are pleased to announce that very soon Gleaning will become a collection point for these priceless items. While we still have a few details to work out, our plan is to collect as much of this material as we can at our warehouses in Concord. More details coming soon!

How You Can Help
